The Flooded Forest is a recreation of a section of Amazonian rain-forest inside the spectacular Cosmo Caixa Science Museum, housed in a recently restored one hundred year old Modernist building. A glass-enclosed spiral ramp runs down six floors to the entrance to the most alluring attraction of the museum, a recreation of Amazonian jungle in a glasshouse covering some 1,000 m2. With over 100 species of animal and plant life, the Flooded Forest allows you to see this rare and vanishing ecosystem from all its perspectives, above ground and underwater.
