You have a very healthy attitude and I like your style. I hope that whatever is making you cry passes quickly. You are correct that sadness handled correctly gives the soul greater depth and perspective.....still it pains me to see smart girls cry.

In HS I lived with a retired couple. He had been in the Marines druing WWII, fighting on Guadalcanal (a horror show), along with other places of misery. He seldom, but sometimes, spoke of heads floating down rivers, rotting corpses stacked like wood, diseases running rampant. One day he looked at me and began crying. I was a young man trying to be all the things we expect of a man. He said, "don't ever believe that men don't cry," and I cried with him as I thought about the madness he'd witnessed and my father's experiences during those crazy times.

I don't see it as a sign of weakness, but a natural thing to do sometimes. It must be or the trait would not have evolved along with us. I like anything that makes me think, which your post does. Thank you.
