AUTO PILOT

  • picture

I found this in an old note book. I wrote it after a trip on a Greyhound Bus from Riverside California, through Los Angeles, and up to San Francisco via the desert with many stops in between.

Precise, extra fine

I know you're dying if I may be so inclined to point

After land

After miles

Driving past dirt

Theres no two ways about it

Unfinished fence......dirt

I'm Done

Your eyes unfocus

Theres no two ways about it

I have spent less time in front of the computer, and more time at the gym. I have lost weight, I can breath normally after running up a flight of stairs, and my stress levels have gone down considerably. I'm training for a 5K run in late September. So far, I'm up to 2 miles running on the treadmill. That, it a lot for me! Now if my damn knees would cooperate, I could keep training instead of limping around. I was inspired by watching the Boston Marathon on T.V. I thought, I want to rise above the limits I have created for myself. I'm certainly in no shape for a Marathon but I am setting smaller goals, and I feel fantastic! Now, don't you regret asking? Ha ha ha!

Yes I do - you read my mind. Strangely enough I am doing a similar thing but on a bycycle, as my car died last month, its good, but the knees, OOhhh the knees.

Were we Olympic skiers in a past life ?

Perhaps. I tore my ACL taking a turn too tight. You tore your medial meniscus when you grazed the flag marker and took a tumble. The flags just werent as flexible back then as they are for today's skiers.
