Jt Roots Fest '09: Alice Di Micele

I was unfamiliar with Alice Di Micele, but Bonnie Raitt says, "Alice's music has that great combination of earthiness and groove that keeps it real from the inside out. She's for real." Good enough for Bonnie, good enough for me...

Alice soothed and grooved us, with the incredible "Spanker of Planks", Bobby Vega accompanying on bass. The guy is amazing. Hell, he played wiyh Bo Diddley at the ripe old age of 15. Plus, Tower of Power, Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead family, Santana--the list goes on.

Bonnie was right.

Great shots of a vastly under-rated musician. And quoting Bonnie Raitt don't hurt neither. (She's a Quaker)

Glad to see you are still out there with the trusty camera BS. Always enjoy your stuff.
