Put My Guns In The Ground
I have never met Christopher Hitchens or Chuck Prophet's mom. But after suffering through all the debates, it seems like we're all on the same wavelength.
Hitchens Anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear had to feel sorry for the old lion on his last outing and wish that he could be taken somewhere soothing and restful before the night was out.
Mrs Prophet John McCain? He's too o-o-old! You don't want him running this country. Trust me, I'm married to a guy that old. You don't want that.
Of all the points I've heard or read during the last 12 months of this crazy election cycle nothing has resonated with me as much as that last statement. Issues schmissues, The numbers will all be drastically different come January. I'm looking for a steady hand, a cool head and stamina.
Don't sign me up for any Obama fundraisers though. I'm not holding my nose, but I'm not too happy about much of anything that's happened lately. Best thing to do is just wish him the best and watch and wait.
And what better place to wait than at Social Services? Better take a number and have a seat. Oh my! I haven't been down here for awhile they have TV now. Two nice flat screens to help keep the people calm.
Except somebody has tuned it to the Ministry of News Broadcasting and Communications.

George To the contrary.When the people go to the polls in November to elect the next president and Congress, the average citizen will have even more power than before.
Much more power since we will be electing not just representatives to pass laws. we'll be electing the chairmen and chief operating officers of the entire global economy. It's a tribute to the wisdom of the Founding Founders that this timely and magnificent transformation happened without a shot being fired.
